Beckley Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center has announced the award of the lease contract for the new location of the Greenbrier County VA Clinic. The 4,800-square-foot clinic will be at 228 Shamrock Lane, Ronceverte (Fairlea).
The contract was awarded Dec. 11 to TNT Communications Inc. of Lewisburg. This site will now undergo a building design phase and extensive renovation. It is anticipated that the clinic build-out process will take a minimum of six to eight months.
Veterans will use the temporary VA clinic, which is to be at 3584 Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, until the new clinic is completed. The opening of the temporary clinic is progressing with an opening date to be announced in January 2016.
“The timely award of this contract was made possible by the commitment at all levels of our organization to provide quality services to the veterans of southern West Virginia. The dedication and hard work of the staff from the Network Contracting Office 6 is to be commended,” stated Director Karin L. McGraw. “I want to express our gratitude to Sen. Joe Manchin, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and Rep. Evan Jenkins for their continued support. Beckley VA Medical Center is extremely pleased to fulfill the promise of a permanent location in Greenbrier County.”
