Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes start journey
From Nov. 13 through Nov. 20, 3,475 Gospel Opportunities (also known as Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes) were dropped off at the WV Building on the Fairgrounds and processed by approximately 100 volunteers to ready them for their journey around the world.
These Gospel Opportunities will reach children around the world during 2024 and provide each child not only a shoebox full of gifts, but the greatest gift of all, Jesus. Each child will receive a booklet in their language that tells the story of Jesus. They will also be given the opportunity to participate in a 12-week Bible Study Class taught by trained members of their community to prayerfully accept Jesus as their personal Savior and be prepared to tell others about Him.
I want to thank each person that packed a Gospel Opportunity, volunteered in any capacity, and prayed. You are a testimony to the great community where we are blessed to live.
