Lewisburg resident and U.S. Navy veteran Clayton Tyree celebrated his 100th birthday at a well-attended party held at the Dutch Haus restaurant with friends and family last weekend. As he has done with previous birthdays, he asked for donations to be made to the Greenbrier Humane Society.
According to a social media post by the humane society, “Five years ago, on Mr. Tyree’s 95th birthday, he invited us to his celebration and asked for donations to Greenbrier Humane Society in lieu of gifts. Mr. Tyree and his family thought of GHS again on this monumental day! Thank you to Mr. Tyree for thinking of us. Thank you to his family and friends for being so welcoming. And a very sincere thank you to Mr. Tyree for his service!”
