Interfaith fellowship meeting

The Lewisburg Interfaith Fellowship, an inclusive spiritual community, will meet Saturday, Mar. 12, at 4 p.m. at Montwell Park (formerly Fort Savannah). They will meet to share their spiritual practices and experiences for a greater understanding and acceptance of each other, and to celebrate their diversity. This week’s presentation will be “Religion vs. Spirituality” by Rev. Nina Emmerling. There will be a discussion after the presentation.

New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

service Sunday, Mar. 13 will begin at 11 a.m. Visitors are welcome. The Fellowship is located at 911 South Kanawha Street, Beckley.

Graystone Baptist Church

The Rochesters will be singing at Graystone Baptist Church Sunday, Mar. 13 at 10 a.m. In the 11 a.m. service, Scott Matthews will be preaching. Pastor Youel Altizer and the congregation would like to invite everyone to come to Graystone Baptist Church for a time of worship with music and His Word. Lenten Fish Dinners offered in WSS

Alleghany Highlands Council 8689 Knights of Columbus will be serving Fried or Baked Fish Dinners Friday, Mar. 11 and 18 at the Parker Center behind the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in downtown White Sulphur Springs. Dinners include fried or baked tilapia, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, hard rolls, drinks and desserts. Take-out orders available. Price: adults $11; children 5-12, $6; all you care to eat (eat in only) $15; and a special family plan (2 adults and 2 children) $25. Proceeds support community, youth, church, council and other charity projects and programs of the local Knights of Columbus. For information, call 304-536-1813 or 304-645-1373.

Lewisburg United Methodist Church

Experience the Bible like never before. It’s interactive, memorable, relevant, exciting and fun. Using the exclusive, “Walk Thru the Bible” hand signs memory system, the instructor will guide you through the Old Testament in a way you’ve never experienced before. The “Walk Thru the Bible” event will be held at Lewisburg United Methodist Church Saturday, Mar. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This special event is sponsored by the Greenbrier District of the United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information and to register call the District Office at 304-645-1357. The $20 fee includes light breakfast, lunch, a snack and all materials needed for the event.

Celebrate Recovery at Rhema

If you struggle with a hurt, habit or hang up or any life controlling problem or issue and would like to sort through your issues with like others in a Christ-centered environment, you are welcome to attend our weekly meeting. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step meeting that incorporates the 12 steps and the 8 Beatitudes in the Bible and scripture and prayer to assist people with the healing process. Unlike most secular programs the issues people present are varied and not necessarily the same problem or struggle, so no one is excluded. Our meetings are on Thursday nights, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. is the meet and greet, 6:30 to 7:30 is the open meeting, and 7:30 to 8:30 are the gender specific small groups. The meetings take place at the Rhema Christian Church on Davis Stewart Road in Fairlea. We hope you check us out as many of our participants have grown tremendously in their faith and healed from a lot of their past hurt and pain.

Griffith Creek Baptist Church

invites you to their Awana program each Wednesday night 6:30-8:30 p.m. September-May for children 3-18 years of age. Food, fun and classes for everyone. Adult Bible Study 6:45 p.m. – ?
