New River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Time & schedule changes for area Catholic churches

Times and schedules have changed for some of the Catholic churches which serve eastern Greenbrier and most of Monroe counties. The new schedules are:

• Lewisburg – St. Louis, King of France, Catholic Mission, Coleman Drive (behind Shoney’s and motels) 304-536-1813; Vigil Mass Saturdays 4 p.m.; Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday 3:30 p.m. Holy Hour, Mondays, 7:15 a.m. Daily Mass Monday 8:30 a.m. “Daily Living” Fox 60, Sundays, 8:30 a.m.; Suddenlink Network 9 a.m.; Father Chapin Engler Jr. with Father James Conyers, associate

• Ronceverte – St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Walnut Street at WV 63 West (behind Ronceverte Public Library) 304-536-1813: Sunday Mass 11 a.m.; Daily Mass Tuesday 8:30 a.m., Thursday 6:30 p.m.; Sacrament of Reconciliation: Thursdays 6 p.m.; Holy Hour Thursday, 5:30 p.m.; Benediction first Tuesday, 6 p.m.; Adoration Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. “Daily Living” Sundays Fox 60 8:30 a.m. Suddenlink Network 9 a.m. Father Chapin Engler Jr. with Father James Conyers, associate. Latin Mass: telephone for times and dates.

• White Sulphur Springs – St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 325 West Main Street, (across from The Greenbrier Hotel Clinic); 304-536-1813; Vigil Mass Saturday, 5:30 p.m.; Sunday Mass 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.; Holy Hour Friday 7:30 a.m. Daily Mass Friday 8:30 a.m. Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday 5:15 p.m. or by appointment. “Daily Living” Fox 60 8:30 a.m. Sundays; Suddenlink Network 9 a.m.; Father Chapin Engler Jr. with Father James Conyers.

• There are no changes to the Catholic Church of Mary Immaculate in Williamsburg; St. Mary’s of the Greenbrier, Alderson; St. Patrick’s in Hinton St John, the Evangelist, Sweet Springs or Sacred Heart in Rainelle.

Griffith Creek Baptist Church

invites you to their Awana program each Wednesday night 6:30-8:30 p.m. September-May for children 3-18 years of age. Food, fun and classes for everyone. Adult Bible Study 6:45 p.m. – ? Bus route in Alderson; times and locations call the church at 304-445-2653 or Pastor Audie Sorg at 304-445-2243. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday nights. The church is located 3 miles out of Alderson.
