Lenten Tilapia Dinners continue in White Sulphur Springs
The traditional Lenten Tilapia Fish dinners, sponsored by the Greenbrier Valley Council 8689 Knights of Columbus, will be served Friday, Mar. 8 in the White Sulphur Springs Center behind the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in downtown White Sulphur Springs.
The menu is tilapia, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, hard rolls, dessert, and drinks, all for only $15 a plate with an extra piece of fish $5. Children under 5 years old are served free and those aged between 5 to 12 may get the tilapia for $5 or the complete meal for $15.
“We are again offering eat in or to go between the hours of 4:30 and 7 p.m.,” reports Mike Williams, financial secretary for Council 8689 and noted that the dinners are being held to raise funds for community, youth, church and council projects serving the Pocahontas, Monroe, Greenbrier and eastern Fayette Counties area.
