The Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Choir and Friends will present their annual Christmas Cantata on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson.
The title is “Glorious Impossible,” arranged by Russell Mauldin. Come and listen as we retell the impossible story of Jesus’ birth that could only be possible by God’s unexpected plan to redeem a fallen world through this glorious plan. The Cantata will be directed by Dell Wood and accompanied by Nancy Wood.
The participating choir members are: Sopranos – Rose Carter, Charlotte Grimmett, Sarah Hampton, Regina Holliday, Jo Honaker, Sylvia Keaton, Carolyn Jo Knapp, Mary Mitchell, Patty Reinhold, Donna Simms, Shirley Tolosa, Liz Wood, and Louise Wood-Dixon. Altos – Cheryl Bice, Lea Ann Gwinn, Lynda Neff, Sophie Pace, Brenda Patterson, and Lori Williams. Tenors – Greg Holliday, Peggy Patterson, Curtis Pauley, Tony Tolosa, and Brennan Wood. Basses – Darrell Croy, Bob Holliday, Lawrence Lewis, and Charlie Mulkey. The narrator for the Cantata is Sheila Harris. The soloist is Greg Holliday, and Brennan Wood is the trumpeter.
We invite the public to attend this Christmas Cantata and worship with us through music. A reception will follow the performance in our fellowship hall.
