On Thursday July 6, at approximately 4:33 p.m., Sergeant K. L. Sawyers of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle accident that occurred at a private residence near Asbury.
The investigation revealed that a 6-year-old Ronceverte child was at a residence of a family member when he was accidentally struck by a vehicle being operated by a member of the family.
The boy was transported to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center where he would later succumb to injuries sustained in the accident.
