White Sulphur Springs-Carolyn Ruth Perrow, 73, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at Carrington Place in Daleville, VA.
Carolyn was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Clifton Forge, VA, the daughter of Drama Irene White Chestnut and the late John Chestnut.
She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God, had worked as a telephone operator at The Greenbrier Hotel, worked at Hanover shoe factory but mostly liked helping and cleaning for family and friends.
Other than her father she was preceded in death by her husband, James William “Jim” Perrow on Aug. 29, 2018; her daughter, Cynthia Leigh Sweazy and granddaughter, Jennifer Sweazy.
Surviving are her daughter, Laurie Ann Massey and husband James of Glace; mother, Drama White Chestnut of White Sulphur Springs; sister, Cathy Naglic and husband Frank of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Suzanne Queen, Amanda Cochran, James Earl Massey II and Jessica Ann Sheppard; great-grandchildren, Syndi, Evan and Benson Queen; Zayden and Elayna Sheppard; and Shelby and Kynslie Sexton; and special nephews, John Pickering and Frankie Naglic.
Joint graveside services for Carolyn and her husband James “Jim” Perrow will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Mapledale Cemetery near White Sulphur Springs.
