Carnegie Hall’s lunchtime lecture series, Brown Bag Tuesdays, continues Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 12 noon in the Hamilton Auditorium. The presentation will explore one of 12 educational programs offered and managed by Carnegie Hall. Many may not know that Carnegie Hall provides teaching artists who teach creative writing classes at two correctional institutions in Southern West Virginia. Local writer and instructor, Sarah Elkins, will read some of the writings done by the inmates who attended her class.
This free programming takes place the third Tuesday of each month through December and is open to the general public. Brown Bag Tuesdays is presented with financial assistance from the WV Division of Culture and Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
