Carnegie Hall is currently accepting registrations for the 2016 Kids’ College, which will be held July 11-15 and July 18-22. The popular Kids’ College program is open to all children who will be entering kindergarten through the 7th grade. Children can choose to take up to five different arts and science classes per day. The classes meet Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Parents and grandparents can now register their children through Carnegie Hall’s website: www.carnegiehallwv.org, or by calling Carnegie Hall at 304-645-7917. Paper brochures and registration forms are also available.
Kids’ College is a unique opportunity for children to expand their artistic and scientific horizons in a safe and nurturing environment. All classes, taught by trained teaching artists, are held in Carnegie Hall. Children can take classes in pottery, creative writing, origami, sign language, robotics, quilting, cooking, fashions, egg dyeing, rockets, knitting, music, and more.
The cost varies depending on if the child attends morning or afternoons session, for one or both weeks. Thanks for donations from United Way of Greenbrier Valley and several individual donors, scholarships are available. Ask for a scholarship application form when you enroll.
Volunteers are also needed to help in the classes. We welcome adult and senior volunteers and young volunteers who will be entering 9th grade or higher.
