Carlos Lee Hoke, 82, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 10, 1943, in Glace, WV, Carlos was the beloved son of the late Edward Burdle Hoke, Sr. and Etta Spence Hoke. He spent his career at The Greenbrier, where he dedicated over 30 years of service in Security and as a Plumber, earning the respect and friendship of co-workers and guests alike.

Carlos found great joy in the outdoors and his hobbies. He was an avid hunter and woodworker and found fulfillment in training both horses and dogs. His love for animals was evident throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his daughters, Diane Lovell and Susan Hoke; his siblings, Posie Hoke, Jerry Hoke, Shirley Boggs, Mildred Alderson, Hilda Martin, Bernice Fury, Arlene Bunch, and Edward “June Bug” Hoke Jr.; and his beloved canine companions, Kasey and Chase.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rose Mary Bostic Hoke; his son, Carlos Duane Hoke (Vanessa); his brother, Marshall Hoke; his sisters, Louise Feury and Sharon Emily Hoke; his granddaughter, Ashley Lovell; his faithful dog, Rex; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Carlos’s wishes, he will be cremated and no service will be held. Friends and family may share condolences and memories by signing the online guestbook at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
