Car Clubs United
Did you happen to see a parade of classical cars and trucks Saturday, Oct. 12? That was the Southern WV Car Club Association (SWVCCA) holding their 11th annual cruise and picnic at Camp Creek State Forest Park. The SWVCCA consists of 42 nonprofit car clubs joining together to better their communities. These clubs cover the southern end of West Virginia. They range from Lewisburg to Summersville and from New Castle, VA to Tazewell. They have joined together to assist each other and coordinate their car shows.
The club is lead by club president Ron Ness of the Lewisburg Throttle Throbs Car Club. The cruise and picnic was planned by club activity coordinators Jerri and Dempsey Murphy of the Mountain Memories Car Club, Princeton. The SWVCCA plans on meeting Jan. 11, 2014, at the Beckley Moose Lodge to plan their 2014 shows.
Clubs are not limited to the state of WV. Members do not have to belong to a car club to join the SWVCCA. For more information contact Ron Ness at (304) 645-5055.
