Free Veteran’s Dinner November 9
There will be a Veteran’s Dinner at the Alvon Living Word Church (9434 Pocahontas Trail, White Sulphur Springs) Saturday, Nov. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. This event is free to all veterans and their families, courtesy of the Rt. 92 Rangers 4-H Club. Committee on Aging to require appointments for donations
Due to limited storage space, the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging will accept donations of medical items by appointment only. Items must be clean and in working order, some items still remain available for those who need them. Please call with any questions and before delivering or picking up, Lewisburg/Fairlea area is 304-645-1978 and the Western site in Rupert is 304-392-5138.
Soup Luncheon in Williamsburg
Come share with the Williamsburg Flying Falcons 4-H on Sunday, Nov. 17 a variety of homemade soups including chili, chicken noodle, vegetable, broccoli cheese and many more, along with a peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwich. Patrons can also choose from a variety of homemade desserts and a drink. The lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Williamsburg Community Building. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The proceeds will help send club members to camp and on their annual club trip. Call 304-645-6867 with any questions.
