Art & Craft Show at Fairgrounds
This year the 36th Annual Art & Craft Show sponsored by Edgewood Presbyterian Church will be held Sept. 16, 17 and 18 at the WV State Fair Event Center. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m. Proceeds to benefit Hope Haven Homeless Shelter, Greg Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund, EPC Scholarship Fund and EPC Growth and Improvement Fund. Free parking, good food and nearly 100 exhibitors – woodcrafts, candles, jewelry, needlecraft, primitives, paintings, baskets and homemade apple butter. Kitchenware Event
will be held Sept. 20, 21 and 22, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Wellspring of Greenbrier, 524 Nicholas Street (Rt. 60), Rupert, right beside City Hall. The center is closed for lunch between 12 noon and 1 p.m. Items are free to low income households. Everyone must register and apply. Applicants having previously requested kitchenware from January-August 2016 will be eligible first. All others who apply will be eligible to receive items second. Wellspring of Greenbrier is a nonprofit organization assisting the poor, working poor, homeless, transient and disadvantaged people of Greenbrier County since 2004.
Hazard Mitigation Public Meetings
Homeowners who are rebuilding after the June 23 flood have the opportunity to meet with state and FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Advisors to discuss mitigation opportunities. The information will focus on the HMGP process and rebuilding efforts for the affected homeowners. Specific programs include discussion of the options of mitigation reconstruction (demo and rebuild program), stand-alone elevation of structures, relocation of structures, and acquisition and demolition of properties via Hazard Mitigation Grant Funding. Meetings will be held on Oct. 3, at 6 p.m., at White Sulphur Springs City Hall and on Oct. 4, at 6 p.m., at Rainelle Elementary School.

are held at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 noon.
NarAnon meetings
are held Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg. NarAnon is a 12-step support group for persons affected by someone else’s addiction. Call Susan at 304-646-6506 for more information.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
meets once a month, usually around the last Tuesday. The group is open to all who have MS and also family and friends. Medical students and such are welcome. There is no charge or fee to join.
