Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale
The Greenbrier Valley Master Gardeners will host their 12th Annual Plant Sale Saturday, May 21, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the WV fairgrounds in the open air pavilion beside the Demonstration Garden at the north end of the fairgrounds. There will be a variety of plants for sale including flowers, vegetables, herbs and fruits, as well as Atlas garden gloves in a range of sizes for children and adults. The plants are donated by members of the Greenbrier Valley Master Gardeners and prices are very reasonable. The sale is open to the public so come and discover some new plants for your garden this year.
Boat education classes
A boat education class will be held in Raleigh County at the WV DNR Office at 2006 Robert C. Byrd Drive, in Beckley Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Another boat education class will be held in Mercer County at the Concord University Rahall Bldg. in the basement on June 4 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Students have to be at least 11 years old to attend and bring the last four numbers of their Social Security numbers. Organ Cave Community Center activities
Come out and support the Organ Cave Community Center Saturday, May 21, from 12 noon – 7 p.m. at the Organ Cave Community Center Building, located at the intersection of US 219 & Route 61. There will be vendors of all kinds and activities for children along with a silent auction. Hot dogs and chips will be available from 12 noon – 2 p.m., followed by a Ham and Bean Dinner, from 4-7 p.m. (takeout available). There will be bluegrass and gospel music throughout the day. Manchin reps to stop in White Sulphur
As part of Senator Joe Manchin’s “Commonsense Connections” Week, representatives from Manchin’s office will be in Greenbrier County Tuesday, May 24, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the White Sulphur Springs Public Library, 203 W Main Street, White Sulphur Springs.
Williamsburg Thrift Shop Sale & New Hours
The Williamsburg Thrift Shop will be open different hours on Saturdays. The shop will be open 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m., and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

35th Lewisburg Home & Garden Tour
will be held Saturday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Homes on the tour include two homes on E. Washington Street – Mt. Airy and DeHaven; the Vickerage on Foster Street, Hart-Echols on Echols Lane, Greystone on Seneca Trail and the Ronald Refsland Garden at the corner of Alderson Street and Highland Circle. Tickets are $20. Tour is sponsored by the Greenbrier Valley Garden Clubs.
GC Circuit Riders meet at Shoney’s
If you ride a motorcycle and would like to integrate your passion for riding with your passion for spreading the Word of God you might be interested in the Christian Motorcyclist Association. The Greenbrier Valley Circuit Riders is a well-established Chapter that has been going strong and growing for the past 15 years. We invite you to our monthly meetings at Shoney’s in Lewisburg the first Tuesday of every month at 7 o’clock. We typically discuss upcoming rides, evangelistic ministry opportunities and enjoy fun and fellowship with our members. Our annual fundraiser ride called Run for the Son is coming up the first Saturday in May (May 7), so stay posted for details.
