The Bluebell Garden Club Holiday Project has created decorative planter arrangements for downtown merchants, Montwell Commons, the Greenbrier Historical Society, Carnegie Hall, the Greenbrier County Visitors Center, and the Greenbrier County Public Library. The yearly fundraiser started in 2018, and was completed to complement and enhance the downtown Lewisburg holiday season.
Twenty-one Bluebell club members were involved in various aspects of the project, which included contacting merchants, clipping and trimming greenery, labeling and bagging greenery, printing invoices and care directions, selecting decorative accessories for the arrangements, and finally decorating the containers. White pine, yew, spruce, magnolia, curly willow, arborvitae, boxwood, cypress, hemlock, juniper, and cedar were used to create the festive holiday containers. Club members appreciated the generous support of the community to make this project successful.
