
The Bluebell Garden Club had a busy month in May planting summer blooms on May 20 in 47 pots for 21 merchants (something they’ve done since 2017) and on May 22, weeding and planting colorful annuals at the Triangle Garden and Caldwell and Brandt plots in the Old Stone Cemetery.
Fortunately, prior to all this activity, at the May 15 meeting, John Rhoads and Amanda Lynch, both certified personal trainers from Greenbrier Valley Fitness, gave a presentation called “Barbells and Bluebells” about how regular resistance training can help gardeners attain the strength and stamina needed to tackle such tasks.
