Beverly Edwards Blake Boswell, 79, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2025, following a 4-year battle with kidney and liver disease.
Beverly was born on Mar. 18, 1946, to Virginia B. Blake and Norman B. Blake, both of Ronceverte. Growing up she was an avid fan of horses and had a lifetime love for them which she passed down to her granddaughter. Throughout her school years she was a Girl Scout and played trombone under local legendary musical director Nobel Legg.
In the mid 1960’s she moved to Florida and was a waitress at the Boca Raton Hotel & Club where she met her future husband, Charles Lee Boswell of Bogalusa, Louisiana. She had two sons, Troy and Brad and in 1994 Troy blessed her with a granddaughter, Brooke Ashley Boswell of Seattle WA.
She was a longtime member of the Ronceverte Woman’s club and served as Treasurer and Chaplin of the General Andrew Lewis Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). She served on the town council of Ronceverte in the early 2000’s and during that time became a certified lifeguard. She attained a Masters degree in Counseling at Marshall University and worked as a social worker and medical transport throughout her life. In 2004 she purchased Wiseman’s Floral and ran a flower delivery and gift shop business for 15 years. She loved to travel, dine out, and was a huge fan of Greek food, Mickey Mouse, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
