The New River Community and Technical College Office of Workforce Education is offering a four-session Computer Basics class at the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg. The class will meet Apr. 15, 17, 22 and 24 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Instructor Laura Hosey will teach basic computer skills and introduction to Microsoft Word. Students will be instructed on how to set up and utilize email accounts, search the Internet, write a short letter, create a basic flyer and use external storage devices (flash drives). The class also will include an introduction to social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
