Wayside-Barbara Jean Eggleston McClung, 59, formerly of Alderson, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at her home in Wayside, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 16, 1955, in Ronceverte, she was the daughter of Evelyn Eary Eggleston of Alderson and the late Eugene Eggleston. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Domurad.
Mrs. McClung was a retired certified nursing assistant, having worked at various nursing homes in Greenbrier, Monroe and Summers Counties in West Virginia, retiring after many years of service due to her illness. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the former Ronceverte Moose Lodge in Ronceverte. Mrs. McClung loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding, and above all, she loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include: her husband of 43 years, James Roger McClung of Wayside; son, James McClung of Talcott; two daughters, Alicia Fink of Talcott and Amy McClung of Talcott; her mother, Evelyn Eary Eggleston of Alderson; sister, Letha Bowyer of Alderson; four grandchildren, Brandon McClung of Caldwell, Kristian McClung of Ronceverte, Cheyenne Holliday of Wayside and Wade Holliday of Talcott; two great-granddaughters, Carley McClung of Buckhannon and Bridget McClung of Caldwell; great-granddaughter, Paisley Holliday due in January 2016; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 30, at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, where the Rev. Gary Baker officiated.
Friends called Friday at the funeral home before the services.
In honor of Mrs. McClung’s wishes, she was cremated following services.
