Barbara Brenda Wilson
Wolf Creek-Barbara Brenda Wilson, 74, formerly of Southbury, CT, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Greenbrier Manor, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 15, 1940, in Ansonia, CT, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Moeller Brenda.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters, Elizabeth Stordy and Shirley Zuraw.
Mrs. Wilson worked as a bookkeeper in Connecticut for several years and was also a homemaker. She was a 1958 graduate of Seymour High School, Seymour, CT. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, Alderson, where she was a member of the One in the Spirit Circle and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, and was an avid painter. Mrs. Wilson especially loved her dog and walking her dog daily. She also enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel and go camping with her husband.
Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Raymond Leo “Bob” Wilson, Jr., of Wolf Creek, Alderson; sister, Irene Ragone and husband, Vinnie, of Orlando, FL; two sisters-in-law, Mary Brown Eganer of California and Shirley Parker of Covington, VA; special friends, Donna and Bob Market of Inglewood, FL and Patty and Ken Proffitt of Alderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17, at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, where the Rev. Sam Groves officiated. Burial was in the Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove.
Friends called at the funeral home Sunday afternoon before the service.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
