Fall semester classes at New River Community and Technical College will begin on Aug. 18, and prospective students are reminded that Aug. 8 is the last day to register. All fees must be paid by that date. Anyone who has not completed the application process for fall is encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
The college has been operating on summer hours for the past two months, but on Monday, Aug. 4, regular hours will resume. Campus offices will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Admissions, Business and Financial Aid Offices will stay open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning Aug. 5 and extending throughout the academic year.
The Mercer County Campus is moving to a new location at 1001 Mercer Street in Princeton and will begin operations there on Aug. 18. Students wishing to register for fall classes can apply and register at the former location in the Mercer County Technical Education Center at 1397 Stafford Drive in Princeton through Aug. 8. New River CTC has three additional campuses: Greenbrier Valley Campus, 101 Church Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901, 304-647-6586; The Raleigh County Campus, 167 Dye Drive, Beckley, 304-929-5469; and the Nicholas County Campus, 6101 Webster Road, Summersville 304-883-2437. Administrative offices are in Beckley. Technical programs are offered at the Advanced Technology Center, which is part of the Raleigh County Campus. It is located at 527 Odd Road in Ghent.
