The City of Lewisburg celebrated the West Virginia observance of Arbor Day on Apr. 11 with the planting of a Crab Apple tree at the Greenbrier County Public Library. The planting is in conjunction with the master planting plan that has been ongoing for the past several years. Arbor Day recognizes the planting and care of trees and the contributions trees provide to our community. “Trees are an important component of the infrastructure of our town, and they provide environmental and economical benefits,” noted Mayor John Manchester.
