“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmastime.” – Laura Ingalls Wilder, Prairie Wisdom
Cherished memories help us through dark times. We all have memories and we all have dark times. Every child needs and deserves good memories to help them through their lives. Penny Pitch tries to help local children in need have a Christmas that can become a good memory for them. We need your support.
We can still accept applications. They are available in the Mountain Messenger, at City National Bank in Lewisburg, and at Wellspring in Rupert. This week, you can also pick one up at City Hall in White Sulphur Springs and at the WSS Library.
We are a long way from achieving our goal. This all-volunteer program is indeed “neighbors helping neighbors.” You can mail your tax-deductible gift to Penny Pitch, 383 Alderson Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901. You can also drop a check off at the Mountain Messenger office at 860 N. Court St. in Lewisburg, or you can give online through the PayPal button on our Facebook page, “Penny Pitch, Greenbrier County WV.”
