White Sulphur Springs-Anthony E. “Tony” Liberatore of Hart’s Run Road, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015.
He was born Apr. 21, 1924, in Yonkers, New York, and was the son of Camillo and Florinda Liberatore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Camillo and Florinda and brother, Anselmo and wife Edna.
He is survived by: his daughter and caretaker, Rita Liberatore and other children, Laura, Ralph and Tony; grandchildren, Danielle, Rene’e and D.J; and great-grandchildren, Madison, D’Asia Jane, Gavin Angel, Nevaeh and Trinity.
Tony was a U.S. Army veteran, a former business owner (Tap Room and Pilot House) and a retired U.S. Postal Carrier. He was also a longtime resident of White Sulphur Springs and Royal Palm Beach, FL. He was a member of the Lewisburg Elks Club and many other community organizations throughout his life. A kind and gentle man, he was a friend to all and never knew a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed NY Yankees baseball. He had a fun loving spirit, an open heart and his smile lit up the room.
Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs, with Father Chapin Engler officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
