The following is Sam’s words telling us how his acoustic CD came to be, “A few years back I was staying in the old cabin by the pond on the 1842 home place and began to work on the songs for the Acoustic Christmas album. It was late fall and cool enough to have the wood stove burning. Every time I’d finish an arrangement I would record it as a rough demo and move onto another song. Eventually, I ended up with enough arrangements for an album, but it was so close to Christmas and I didn’t have time to go into a studio and record them so I just started burning CDs one at a time from the demos. Surprisingly, so many friends wanted copies that I ended up with the CD burner by my bedside and I would wake up throughout the night and make another copy… and another. I couldn’t keep up with the demand. So, what you hear on the Acoustic Christmas CD is simply me and my Taylor guitar (and maybe a few country sounds in the background). I wouldn’t change a thing!”
Don’t miss this extraordinary event with Sam Anderson on Dec. 16.
