“Beginning Photo Editing,” a four-night course being offered by the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College non-credit program, will be held Tuesday evenings, Apr. 5, 12, 19 and 26, from 6-9 p.m. in Room 504, McCarthy Hall, on the Clifton Forge campus. Professional photographer Chuck Almarez, owner and operator of Fire and Light Gallery in Clifton Forge, is the instructor.
The course will familiarize students with image editing and refinement techniques using Adobe Photoshop Elements. By the end of this course, students should understand how the camera captures a digital image, how that image is processed in-camera, how to output the image to a computer for further refinement and processing, and the various methods for processing using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Output and sharing options are also covered including output to print, slideshow, books and email. The tuition fee is $90.
