Crowd gathers for annual Alderson concert in remembrance of Ada “Bricktop” Smith.
A change of date and location did not stop the yearly concert in remembrance of Alderson born Ada “Bricktop” Smith, famed vocal entertainer of the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘50s. Following a moment of silence dedicated to the victims of 9/11 and those facing the Florida storms, the audience, once again, shared in the mellow and sometimes swinging music of Cole Porter and many others performed with the smooth sounds of the Robinson, Huffman & Sellards Trio.
