Every Saturday, the Alderson Community Market features local singers/songwriters, as part of our summer music series. In addition, market volunteers organize kid activities to create a fun filled day for the entire family. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s happening during the month of September:
• Sept. 5 – Music by Patrick Gabbert et al, Kid theme is Tomato Day
• Sept. 12 – Music by Strum Sum, Kid theme is Building Day
• Sept. 19 – Music by Lou Couch, Kid theme is Alderson Heritage Day
• Sept. 26 – Music by Anything BoettAnna, Kid theme is Contest Day
The Alderson Community Market accepts SNAP/EBT cards. Several vendors are also accepting Senior Coupons through October. See the Market Manager to double your SNAP and Senior Coupons while funds are available. The Alderson Community Market is held in the lot of the Greenbrier Interpretive Center, along Rt. 12 in Alderson; from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Alderson Community Market strives to connect local producers and consumers in a fun, family-friendly environment, and is sponsored by the Town of Alderson and Alderson Main Street.
