The gardens are producing!
Available now at the Alderson Community Market on June 18 are kale, summer squash, cucumbers, garlic, onions, cabbage, chard, beets, tomatoes, peas, snow peas, green onions, spinach, fresh cut herbs, local pork sausage, roasts, chops, fresh bacon, biscotti, pure beeswax candles, bird seed cakes, plants, wide varieties of baked goods, and homemade household items. Carry home your goodies in a free Alderson Community Market cloth tote bag!
SNAP recipients are finding great deals here, being able to turn $5 into $10 worth of food ($15 worth of food, if they have children). WIC and Senior Vouchers will also be honored.
There will also be a gift basket up for raffle, with donations in the basket from our vendors for Father’s Day. Raffle tickets are $1, or four tickets for $3.
There are also games for the kids, and on June 18, music will be provided by Leap of Faith, which consists of Leiselotte Heil on her fiddle with Andrew Caldwell singing with his guitar.
All this and more in the friendly atmosphere of folks you know down by the Greenbrier River. Find us at the Alderson Visitors Center parking lot (the old Gulf Station), on Route 12, near the old bridge, every Tuesday, from 3 to 6 p.m.
