All Alderson 4th of July Pageant applications are now due.
Contestants for Alderson Miss Fireworks will compete for the title of Miss Fireworks who will reign over the 4th of July activities during the Alderson Celebration. A $1,200 scholarship will be awarded to the winner along with the opportunity to compete in the Queen of Queens Pageant at the Miss West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals Pageant held in Charleston in January 2017.
The Miss Fireworks Committee is excited to announce that Katherine Thompson, meteorologist for WVVA will be the Emcee for the 2016 Miss Fireworks Scholarship Pageant set for Saturday, June 4. Entertainment for the evening will be Harmony Creek Junction. The contestants will be escorted by Brennan Wood, Garrett Sheppard, Brandon Collins and Davis Wood of Harmony Creek Junction. The entertainment will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Alderson Community Center.
Little Boy Sparkler, Little Miss Sparkler, Miss Sparkler, Little Miss, Junior Miss and Senior Miss Fireworks Pageants will be held Sunday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at the Alderson Community Center.
