The Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley launched their “Adventures in Learning” spring session classes last week.
Nearly 100 adults attended the classes which included basket weaving, creative writing, and low-impact aerobics, and more. The current events class featured a presentation by Lewisburg Mayor John Manchester.
Classes are held on Thursdays through Apr. 6 at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church on Washington Street in Lewisburg, and it’s not too late to register. The Shepherd’s Center operates year-round and is an interfaith organization dedicated to the enrichment of adults and to providing volunteer service opportunities for the community.
On Tuesday, Mar. 14, the center will also host the 2017 Community service Awards banquet in honor of this year’s recipients, Pat and Willa Izzo. For information about classes, to volunteer services or to attend the awards luncheon, call 304-645-4196.
