Patricia “Pat” Ann Robinson VanDyke, 79, of Ronceverte, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 24, 2026, while surrounded by family and friends.
Born on Nov. 15, 1946, in Oak Hill, WV, Pat was the daughter of the late Claude and Wanda Robinson.
Pat was a well-loved housewife and mother who enjoyed raising Dorset sheep with her family. She loved attending the State Fair of WV where she worked with Jim as sheep superintendents for 47 years. Nothing made her happier than being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her beloved children Kevin VanDyke of Ronceverte, WV, and Deitra VanDyke Riggs of Valrico, FL, in-laws Henry and Ella Connell of Ronceverte, sister-in-law, Pat Dore of Sinks Grove, WV, and many more family and friends.
Those to cherish her memories are husband of 60 years, James “Jim” VanDyke of Ronceverte, WV; son, Chris (Lisa) VanDyke of Ronceverte, WV; grandchildren, Jessica (Gary) McBurney of Ronceverte, WV, Colton (Autumn) VanDyke of Renick, WV, Lexi (Jared) First of Tampa, FL, and Kolbie Ashman of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Carter McBurney, Easton McBurney, Landon VanDyke, Brynlee McBurney, Reagan VanDyke.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Mt. Pleasant Community Church in Sinks Grove, WV. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with the service to follow at 2 p.m. Pastors Freddie Bostic and Mike Teubert will be officiating.
