Greenbrier Valley Theatre’s (GVT) Music Director Kermit Medsker will hold auditions for a Kommunity Kabaret, Monday, Jan. 26 and 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. in GVT’s Daywood Lobby. Those interested auditioning for the Kabaret should prepare one or two songs in the key in which they sing. Material should also be showtunes or pop music. Piano accompaniment will be provided, as needed. Participants must provide sheet music in their preferred key. No pre-recorded tracks may be used for auditions or performances.
“You may accompany yourself on guitar, piano, zither or any other instrument,” said Medkser. “Of course we will provide the piano. Bring your own zither.”
Those selected to perform will have one rehearsal with Medsker followed by a rehearsal on Feb. 15 at 2:30 p.m. with the entire cast. The one-night-only revue is set for Monday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. If you have any questions about the auditions please contact GVT’s Box Office at 304-645-3838.
