Carnegie Hall invites the community to discover the intricate beauty of paper quilling in a special holiday workshop led by instructor Teri Hartford on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. This program, Paper Quilled Winter Ornaments, introduces participants to the timeless art of shaping delicate designs from thin strips of paper, resulting in ornaments that are both refined and unique.
Quilling, a centuries-old technique, transforms simple materials into elaborate filigree by rolling, pinching, and layering paper into graceful forms. In this beginner-friendly class, students will follow a step-by-step process to create snowflakes and wreaths that capture the elegance of winter. The workshop emphasizes both accessibility and artistry, welcoming participants of all skill levels to explore a craft that balances precision with imagination.
Open to age 10 and above, the workshop accommodates up to twelve participants, ensuring a supportive environment for learning and creativity. The cost is just $12 per person, with all supplies and materials provided.
