Fall Fun Day will be Friday, Nov. 14 at the Rupert Community Building. Registration at 9:30 a.m. This will be a covered dish lunch. Patty and Lynn will provide door prizes.
Members painted on cookies as Betty Jo presented the program, “Christmas Cookies: History & Sharing of Baked Goods.” According to the lesson, cookies, unlike pies or cakes, could be more easily shared with friends and neighbors through the month and thus the Christmas cookie tradition was born. Each member was given a bag of Cracker Jack cookies, one of the recipes listed in the program booklet.
After the program on cookies, members completed their Committee Reports.
Refreshments were served by hostess Betty Jo McNeel. The door prize was won by Lynn Humphreys.
