The world’s most popular opera airs at Greenbrier Valley Theatre on November 15

Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) is once again thrilled to present The Met: Live in HD featuring La Bohème on Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m. All are invited for light refreshments and a pre-show talk one hour prior to the performance.

The Metropolitan Opera’s 2025–26 Live in HD season continues with Franco Zeffirelli’s spectacular production of Puccini’s La Bohème, with soprano Juliana Grigoryan making her company role debut as Mimì and tenor Freddie De Tommaso in his company role debut as Rodolfo.

During the 2024–25 Live in HD season, De Tommaso made his Met debut as Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca (2024). Grigoryan’s turn as Mimì marks her Live in HD debut. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts in her first Live in HD appearance.

Joining the distinguished cast are soprano Heidi Stober and baritone Lucas Meachem, who sing the roles of Musetta and Marcello, respectively. Baritone Sean Michael Plumb takes on Schaunard, bass Jongmin Park sings the role of Colline, and baritone Donald Maxwell portrays Benoit and Alcindoro.

The performance of La Bohème will mark the opera’s 1,415th performance at the Met and its fourth Live in HD transmission to cinemas worldwide. La Bohème is the most performed opera at the Met. The classic production by Franco Zeffirelli premiered on December 14, 1981.

Gary Halvorson will direct the Live in HD presentation for cinemas, and tenor Matthew Polenzani will host the transmission, sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes content and interviews during the two intermissions.

Tickets are available at https://gvtheatre.org/opera/.
