Carnegie Hall invites you to discover the art of tranquility in glass with Stained Glass Zen Garden, a beginner-friendly workshop led by instructor Lynda Weischowsky. Held on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., this hands-on class is part of Carnegie Hall’s Fall Class & Workshop Series and offers participants the chance to create a stunning minimalist tabletop Zen Garden using sand, rocks, and local wild plants.
In this intimate session, students will assemble and solder a 6.5×6.5×2 inch glass container using precut pieces of stained glass. Each participant will have the opportunity to customize their garden with a variety of decorative elements provided in class, resulting in a unique and meditative piece of art. All materials and tools will be supplied by the instructor, and no prior experience is necessary.
The class is open to age 16 and up and limited to just 8 participants to ensure a focused and supportive learning environment. The cost is $55 for Carnegie Hall members and $65 for nonmembers. Scholarships are available, allowing students to attend for only $30. Those using the Hope Scholarship must register through Carnegie Hall first by selecting the HOPE option at checkout.
