Virginia Lee Childers Callison of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Friday, Oct. 24. She was 83.

She was the daughter of Ottie Vincent Childers, and Mary Oleta Hedrick Childers, born in Point Pleasant, WV, on Mar. 20, 1942.

She was married to Charles Basil Callison, Jr. of Meadow Bridge, WV for 61 wonderful years. She has two sons, Greg Callison (Chika) of New Jersey and Chuck Callison (Angi) of South Carolina. She has four grandchildren, Martika Callison, Lucas Callison, Melody Callison, and Andre Callison. She has one surviving sibling, William Douglas Childers, and she has three nephews, Marcus Clonch, Lewis Winnings, and Daryl Winnings, and one niece, Kimberly Clonch. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law Tami Wilson and Yvonne Winnings.

Virginia, also known as Ginger, was a homemaker, and lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, WV. Ginger was a kind hearted, loving mother who always had a glowing smile, and always willing to help others without hesitation. She took wonderful care of her family and we were so grateful to have her in our lives. Ginger loved the outdoors, and especially the fall season. She was a terrific cook, loved beautiful flowers, and enjoyed long walks to enjoy nature, alongside family and friends. Ginger will be missed by so many. May God Bless You.

A service will be scheduled at a later date.
