Greenbrier Valley EDC and Greenbrier Chamber host Small Business Resource Fair

There will be a Small Business Resource Roundup on Monday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Marvel Center in Rupert.

Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce are hosting a Small Business Resource Roundup on Monday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Marvel Center in Rupert.

The open house style event is free and open to the public, offering entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community members a chance to explore valuable business resources available in the Greenbrier Valley counties of Pocahontas, Monroe, and Greenbrier.

“Both the Greenbrier Valley EDC and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce are committed to supporting local businesses. We hope this event will be valuable for all entrepreneurs, including those considering recreation businesses related to the Meadow River Rail Trail,” said Ruthana Beezley, Executive Director of the Greenbrier Valley EDC.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local, regional, and state resource partners including: Greenbrier Valley EDC, Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce, WV Small Business Development Center, Partner Community Capital, WV Hive, Region 1 Workforce Development Board, WV Department of Agriculture, Woodlands Development & Lending, Jobs and Hope.

 Resource partners offer a variety of services for businesses looking to start or expand a business in our region including business planning and coaching, providing financing through loans or grants, training events, workforce programs, technical assistance funds, and more. Resource partners can still sign up to attend the event, by contacting the Greenbrier Valley EDC.

The Marvel Center is located at 138 Cranberry Avenue, Rupert, WV. The event will be hosted in their cafeteria space. Light refreshments will be offered. Registration is recommended. Register at: bit.ly/greenbrierbusinessresourceroundup.
