On Sept. 22, several long-time retirees from the Federal Prison Camp in Alderson met to get re-acquainted at the Dutch Haus Restaurant in Lewisburg. Approximately 25 former employees met for a nice lunch to enjoy old times.
Several retirees traveled quite a distance coming in from the States of Iowa, Missouri and North Carolina. The average period served for the BOP was 31 years. Several of the retirees worked for FPC Alderson their entire career, while others began their careers at Alderson and transferred to other federal agencies before retiring.
Those in attendance were Norm Richmond, Cindy Parker, Paul Parker, Shirley Carter-Reed, Raymond Reed, Victor Loy, Linda Shires, Mildred Lewis, Cora McMillion, Linda Huffman, Rev. Betsy Walker, Melissa Evans, Renee Harvey, Tina Wickline, Bill Callison, Janet & Mike Mines, Krystal Holliday, Lynda Neff, Mike Crookshanks, Dave & Cathy Helman, Richard & Candy Fowler, Carolyn Knapp, and Tom Harvey. It was a great time for friends & fellowship for the long-time BOP Staff.
