Shakespeare’s Macbeth comes to GVT this October

A Shakespearean classic takes our stage at Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) this fall! Step into the shadowy world of Macbeth, where ambition collides with destiny and nothing is as it seems. When Scottish general Macbeth encounters three mysterious witches who foretell his rise to power, he and his ambitious wife set in motion a chain of murder, betrayal, and madness. Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy explores the dark cost of unchecked ambition and the haunting consequences of power. Rated PG-13 for violence and dark themes.

Instead of The Burnt Part Boys, Greenbrier Valley Theatre has chosen to bring this timeless story of ambition, betrayal, and fate to the stage. “The decision allows us to offer programming that is both engaging and accessible – with special school matinees as well as evening performances for our community,” they state.

Macbeth will run from Oct. 17 through Nov. 1 on the following dates: A pay-what-you-can preview on Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 18 at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., Oct. 19 at 2:30 p.m., Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 25 at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 1 at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.
