The West Virginia Off Grid Living, Homesteading and Preparedness Expo, also known as the WV Off Grid Expo, will be held Oct. 3-5 at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds. Gates open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Organizers say the three-day event will feature vendors, demonstrations and seminars focused on off-grid living, homesteading, survival skills and Appalachian traditions. Proceeds will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit that supports catastrophically wounded military veterans, first responders and their families.

Featured speakers include farmer and author Joel Salatin, television survivalist EJ Snyder of “Naked & Afraid,” and Isaiah Tuck of “Alone Survivor.” Other experts will lead seminars on topics including medicinal plants and tinctures, faith’s role in self-preparedness, sustainable farming and homesteading, homestead predator control, livestock of the homestead, food freedom, off grid emergency medicine, modern and primitive survival and field craft, and more.

Along with seminars, the expo will include food trucks, children’s activities, live animals, living history demonstrations, off-grid RVs, overlanding vehicles and dozens of vendor booths.

Expo hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Advance, online tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children age 4-17. Gate admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children. Children 3 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available at www.wvoffgridexpo.com.

The event is hosted by Forest Manna Outdoors LLC, a member of the WV Association of Fairs and Festivals, in partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
