After taking a break to run our vendor booth the Fair, the Greenbrier County Republican Club will resume it monthly meetings on Sept. 4, the first Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. at Cook’s Country Kitchen at Hart’s Run.
The program will be a presentation by Jeff Bryant, the Greenbrier County Superintendent of Schools. He will be discussing the schools’ financial position, the averted closing of Crichton graded school, and the effect of private schools on public school attendance and finances. He is likely to be questioned about the performance of county schools on standardized testing in comparison to other West Virginia counties.
The recipients of the first Republican Club Scholarship Fund will be announced.
The financial report on our booth at the Fair will be presented as well as plans for the annual Christmas dinner.
The public is invited and attendees are encouraged to come early to enjoy dinner in Cook’s dining room prior to the meeting.
