Henry Paul Scott Jr., 64, passed away in the comfort of his home in Ronceverte, He shared his home with his sister/caretaker Karen and caretakers, Sara Campbell and Cody Tucker. Henry was a loving father, proud grandfather, and a man whose life was defined by service, hard work, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Born to the late Henry Paul Scott and Shirley Louise Scott whom is preceded in death along with brothers-in-law, Jody Campbell and William “Darrell” Miller. He is survived by his children, Cody Scott (Jessica Weis), Kayla Scott (Dustin Sturdivant), Logan Scott (Savannah Scott), and Jacob Scott; his beloved grandchildren, Axton Scott, Dustin Sturdivant Jr., Kasen Sturdivant, Adessa Sturdivant, Lennox Scott, and Aella Scott; his sisters, Karen Campbell, Susan Scott, and Ellen Miller; and his brothers, Gary Scott and Doug Scott; and several nephews and nieces.
Henry was born and raised in Hillsboro, WV, and graduated Pocahontas County High School in 1979. He dedicated many years of his life to his work as a skilled welder and as a lifetime member of the Ronceverte Fire Department, serving his community with courage and commitment. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and sharing those passions with family and friends. He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Dave Curfiss officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Cemetery at Lobelia.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
