It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Dale Weikle, who went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 69. He was born on Sept. 21, 1956, in Ronceverte, the beloved son of Lovetta Ann Long Weikle Wooten and Gene Wooten.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Bonnie Gale Adkins, and his brothers Kenneth Darrell Weikle, Richard Eugene Weikle, and Michael Thomas Weikle. He was also predeceased by his cousins Michael Scott Judy and Roger Lee Judy, who was like a brother to him.

Ronnie is survived by his brothers William Frank Weikle (Kay), Donald Lee Weikle (Barbara), and Gary Allen Weikle, Sr. (Sharon), as well as his sisters-in-law Grace Weikle and Linda Weikle and brother-in-law, Floyd Adkins. His cousins, who were more like siblings to him: Michael Thomas Judy (Cathy), and Madonna Ann Erskine (Randy).

In addition to his siblings and cousins, Ronnie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends from the Ronceverte area, all of whom will miss his kind heart and warm presence.

A memorial service to honor Ronnie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at the Adwell Family Cemetery in Ronceverte, WV. The service will be officiated by his brother, Donnie Weikle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department in Ronnie’s memory, a cause that was dear to his heart.

Ronnie will always be remembered for his love of family, his kind and generous spirit, and the countless lives he touched in his community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Rest in Peace, Ronnie. You will be missed but never forgotten.
