On June 11, members of the Greenbrier County Adult Probation Office were conducting a compliance check at the residence of Todd Brown, located at an apartment on U.S. 219 in Fairlea. During the check officers located several items of drug paraphernalia and possible illegal drugs. Probation officers then contacted Sheriff Baker and the Greenbrier County Prosecutor’s office to report what they had found.

Greenbrier County deputies used that information to obtain a search warrant for the residence. A search warrant of the residence was conducted by the deputies with the assistance of the Greenbrier County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force. The search warranted produced $2,500 in cash, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, and prescription medication. Three people were taken into custody as a result. Todd Brown, Amanda Campbell, and Sierah Wright were arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver illegal drugs. All three people were transported to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office for processing, then to Southern Regional Jail. Deputy H. Rodriguez is the lead investigator.

On June 12, with information gained from the previous search warrant, deputies were able to obtain a second search warrant for another residence in Fairlea in the same area. Deputies of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant on the residence of Trevor Mayhew and Taylor Sutton. The search warrant produced approximately $1,000 cash, fentanyl, marijuana and drug dealing paraphernalia. As a result of the search warrant Mr. Mayhew and Ms. Sutton were taken into custody, transported to the Sheriff’s office for processing, then to Southern Regional Jail. Both suspects were charged with control with intent to deliver fentanyl. Lt. S. Hudnall is lead investigator.

Sheriff Baker said, “Let me be absolutely clear: the men and women of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office – and all law enforcement officers throughout Greenbrier County – are growing increasingly vigilant against those who traffic in this poison and those that use it preying upon our law-abiding citizens. I currently lead 29 well-trained and highly motivated deputies who are working tirelessly to put an end to this lawlessness. I have directed them to seek you out and arrest you. If you are released and continue your criminal behavior, we will arrest you again – and again – until you either stop, are incarcerated, or leave this county for good.”
