Dona (Highlander) Copenhaver, 80, passed away Monday, Apr. 21, 2025, in Arlington, VA. She was born on Nov. 15, 1944, in Alderson. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Joe and Virginia Highlander and her son Doug.
Dona and her husband Ray raised four children in Woodbridge, VA. She worked as a crossing Guard for Prince William County.
Dona leaves to cherish her memory her husband Ray, three children, Christopher, Kimberly and Steve, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday May 1, at 12 noon at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel in Alderson, with the Pastor David Highlander officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderson Cemetery at Alderson. Friends may call Thursday, May 1, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Lobban Funeral Home in Alderson.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
