Elizabeth Ann (Byer) Russum, 74, of White Sulphur Springs, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, while in hospice care.
Ann was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Alleghany County, VA, to the late James Lawrence and Laura Mabel Nicely Aldridge.
She was a homemaker throughout her life along with a period of working at Westvaco in Covington, VA.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her first and second husband, Steve Byer, Sr. and Wayne Russum, a son, Christopher Mark Byer, five brothers and two sisters, Nancy, Clayton, Bonnie, Allen, Carl, Darrell, and Alvin.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Byer Bostic of White Sulphur Springs, her son, Steven Byer Jr. (Lee Ann) of La Plata, MD, two sisters, Donna Brandvold, and Peggy Brady (Mel), two brothers, Charles Aldridge (Doreen) and Dennis Aldridge (Annette), four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated along with a forthcoming private service with her children and grandchildren.
